| Pickard China has long been recognized for collections in hand painted pieces. It also is the highest quality fine china in this country. Pickard China is admired for its glaze, which is exceptionally smooth and lustrous. Fired at 2200F, Pickard’s formula is fired higher than its American or English equivalents, but less than the European or Oriental porcelains. Pickard blanks can be repeatedly fired for decorating purposes anywhere from a .012 to .017 cone with no ill effects upon the texture of the glaze. Moreover, multiple colors and precious metals (gold and platinum) will fire out at a beautiful high gloss inherent to only fine china. |
